Elijah Yarpah, PhD, CNP, PMHNP-BC Founder of Greatest Psychiatry and Wellness: With over 15 years of dedicated experience in nursing and mental health care, Elijah Yarpah is a Board-Certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who has made it his life’s work to empower individuals of all ages—children, teens, and adults—on their path to emotional well-being and resilience. As a proud Navy Nurse veteran, Elijah brings a disciplined yet compassionate approach to care, seamlessly integrating his diverse professional background with his passion for healing through creative movement and connection with nature. His extensive expertise spans trauma, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, anxiety, depression, developmental disabilities, ADHD, autism spectrum disorders, and more. In collaboration with psychiatrists, Elijah combines the art of psychotherapy with the science of medication management, offering tailored care rooted in evidence-based practices. Beyond clinical practice, Elijah is an educator and mentor. He has served as an adjunct professor and clinical preceptor for aspiring nurses, inspiring the next generation of caregivers. Outpatient Tele-Psychiatry treating patients across the lifespan (children, adolescences, adults, and geriatrics) by providing medication management for new psychiatric evaluations and follow up appointments. My clinic hours are typically Monday-Thursday (with an occasional Friday) seeing on average 10-20 patients daily. I have 2 practice locations in Mississippi and Louisiana.

I have precepted multiple NP students over the years with a wide range of experience. I have worked with students that have just gotten started in psychiatry to those that have years of experience. I will work with you to develop a plan so we can achieve your goals. I am a preceptor for Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) students through your program. As a board-certified PMHNP licensed in Maryland and Washington, DC, I am passionate about contributing to the professional development of future providers and supporting the growth of the psychiatric nursing workforce. With strong clinical experience in evidence-based psychiatric care, I offer students hands-on exposure to comprehensive mental health services, including psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and psychotherapeutic interventions. I prioritize trauma-informed care and integrate cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and other modalities into treatment planning. I believe in creating a supportive, engaging learning environment where students are encouraged to think critically, ask questions, and develop clinical confidence. I understand the importance of modeling professionalism, cultural humility, and ethical practice in every patient interaction.
