Update/Fall CE Dinner
Posted about 7 years ago by Meagan Barrows
Dear Utah NAPNAP Members,
Last night, we had our business meeting that I called on 09/28/17. I'll admit that I was slightly disappointed by our member turnout. Only 7 people came to the meeting -- of those seven people, four were already on the board and the other three were people who already served as board members or on committees. I had really hoped that I conveyed the importance of last night's meeting, and more people would have come to show their support. I understand some of you could not be there due to other commitments you may have had last night, and I appreciate the few who let me know in advance. However, last night's turnout is an accurate representation of the difficulties we are facing right now with our chapter - there is no participation.
While we only had seven people attend, I felt that we had a productive meeting and were able to generate some really great ideas for how to keep this chapter going, which we will look into these next couple of weeks. Whether these ideas are successful depends on you. In the meantime, we still are in need of people to volunteer for board positions because as I said before, no matter what great ideas we have or how much we love NAPNAP, if there is no leadership there is no chapter.
Please mark your calendars, we will be having a CE dinner on Thursday, November 9 (time and location to follow). The speaker will be Dr. Meghan Candee, who will be talking on headaches in the pediatric and adolescent population. Take note that this will be our last CE dinner, until further notice. I will keep you all informed with a time and location.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
Kind regards,
Meagan Barrows
